Individual Counselling

About Me

I am a Registered Clinical Counsellor (RCC) and hold a Master of Arts in Counselling Psychology. My work is grounded in the belief that healing is not about becoming someone different — it’s about reconnecting with the parts of yourself that may have been lost or co-opted by stress, pain, expectations, or survival patterns. Healing is about reclaiming those parts and remembering your wholeness. Together, we can explore your needs, values, emotions, relationships, and inner strengths while learning practical tools to support greater clarity, confidence, self-trust, and emotional resilience.

How I Work

My approach is compassionate, grounded, and collaborative. I believe people already have an innate capacity for healing and growth, even when that capacity feels out of reach. Healing is about reconnecting with your inherent wholeness, strengths, and internal resources. As this connection deepens, greater clarity, choice, and alignment can emerge.

In our work together, we explore patterns in your experience - thoughts, emotions, behaviours, relationships, or experiences of the outside world- while making space for different parts of you and your experience to be seen, valued, understood, and integrated. A key focus is supporting greater self-awareness and self-compassion, which encourages change to emerge naturally and in alignment with your values. I may also share practical skills to build greater awareness of the body’s signals, helping you connect more deeply with yourself to support greater nervous-system and emotional regulation.

I use an integrative style of counselling, drawing from a variety of research-informed approaches, including Internal Family Systems (IFS)-informed parts work, somatic and embodied approaches, Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT), motivational interviewing, and mindfulness. While drawing from different approaches, my sessions are always client-centered, trauma-informed, and collaborative. Together, we will discuss your needs, hopes and desires, and then tailor an approach that best fits with your goals.

What You Can Expect in Session

Clients describe me as warm, grounded, honest, and relatable. I aim to create a space where you feel safe enough to be fully yourself, while also being supported to move beyond the patterns or survival strategies that may be keeping you stuck.

I am comfortable working with difficult emotions and will not shy away from pain or hard truths when they are part of your process. At the same time, I believe insight is most powerful when paired with practical support, skill-building, and somatic (body) awareness.

In our work, you can expect:

  • A warm, emotionally-attuned, non-judgemental presence

  • Compassion that is supportive but not enabling

  • Honest, thoughtful reflection and feedback

  • Support with boundaries, self-compassion, self-trust, and emotional regulation

  • A balance of reality and possibility

  • Psychoeducation - learning relevant information about mental health and the nervous system

  • Practical tools for self-regulation and nervous system resourcing

  • Encouragement, empowerment, and steady support

  • Space for exploring deeper meaning, self-discovery, and personal growth

  • Space for lightness and humour when they naturally arise

Clients I Work With

You may be someone who is used to showing up for others, meeting expectations, and being capable and dependable, but have reached a point where you feel tired, anxious, overwhelmed, burnt out, disconnected from yourself, or unsure of what you need. You may be accustomed to putting others’ needs ahead of your own. You may take care of others and forget that you also have needs that matter. You might struggle with emotional or nervous system regulation, and find yourself overtired from overfunctioning, or disconnected from yourself. You might be highly accepting of others, but have a harsh inner critic. Sometimes nothing is necessarily “wrong,” but things no longer feel quite right, and you might be wondering what it would feel like to make more room for yourself.

Counselling offers an opportunity to slow down, understand yourself more deeply, reconnect with your own needs and values, and find ways of moving through life that feel more grounded, aligned, intentional, and emotionally sustainable.
